Description

The Design Center is seeking a traffic coordinator to manage internal and external design partners and vendors. This position would be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed in accordance with client budgets and schedules and oversee the efficient flow of work from creative and production departments.

Job Functions:
Project management: Works with design team and clients to establish project schedules, documents project scope, design direction, schedule, budget and updates progress in project management system.

Schedules: Works with clients to ensure projects stay on schedule. Coordinates with clients if there is a shift is schedules resulting from late changes, or printing difficulties.

Relationships: Maintains strong relationships with clients, internal staff, external design consultants and vendors. Uses negotiation skills to keep clients and designers within established timelines, schedules and budgets.

Traffic coordination: Works with clients to arrange for outside design consultants and vendors. Helps coordinate outside team and monitors project status. Coordinates with UT Printing on print schedule, budget and the delivery of proofs.

Administrative: Maintains the filing of completed job files and samples/literature files. Prepares job tickets for completed projects. Clears tickets with clients before submitting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in project coordination or business administration.
  • Advertising, marketing or communication project coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Project management software: Microsoft Project, Basecamp or equivalent. FileMaker Pro
